2009 South Florida Winter D3 Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

February 7-8, 2009 -- Miami Springs, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Strong Dogs suffered a minor setback at the 2009 South Florida Winter D3 Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. The Strong Dogs lost four games playing against the Miami Heat Wheels, the Michigan Thunderbirds, and the Orlando Magic Wheels. Mired in a shooting slump, the Strong Dogs could not get into an offensive rhythm throughout the first three games. In the last game against Miami, the Strong Dogs seemed to regain much of the form that brought wins in December; however, their efforts fell short in the final face-off of the weekend. The Strong Dogs will take all positives forward as they continue preparing for the 2009 National Wheelchair Basketball Association Division 3 National Tournament in Denver, Co. in Mach.
